This blog documents my family history research. I’ve been following the trail on and off for about ten years (at times, more off than on) and the piles of notes have long since got out of hand. This is part online notebook, part an opportunity to share findings with family overseas and anyone else out there who is mildly obsessed with the never-ending and often futile hunt for their dead relatives. I’m sure it’s been said that dead relatives are more interesting than living ones, though definitely not by me 😉

So I’m not looking for actual kings.  At least, not the kind that wear crowns. That would be dull…
